This database provides information on phytoremediation – the use of plant materials to remediate sites contaminated by organic or inorganic substances.
It was first developed by Kansas State University in 2005-2006 and then updated by Brooklyn College of the City University of New York in 2016-2018, under cooperative agreements with the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) National Plants Data Center.
This website also allows users to input references or project results into the database – all data will be reviewed by a scientific panel before adding into the database.
